Trong Gia Nguyen is an artist and curator based in Brooklyn, New York. His broad studio practice examines everything from GPS and The Da Vinci Code to notions of collecting and authenticity. Sometimes through blunt humor and other times through intimate reflection, his work elevates doubt and disassembles the inherent power structures behind our most trusted institutions and beliefs. Trong has received grants from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Harvestworks Digital Media Center, Bronx Museum of the Arts, and Puffin Foundation.

As a curator, Trong has organized over 25 exhibitions, including most recently “Room without a View” at Freies Museum Berlin, and “Never Late Than Better” at EFA Project Space (New York). From 2005-07, Trong directed New General Catalog, an experimental gallery he founded in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood. He has written articles and contributed interviews to publications such as Art:21 and New York Arts Magazine. By day, he is a senior editor at ArtSlant.
