Eduardo Abaroa is an artist and writer working in the fields of sculpture, installation and live action. He has shown his work in LA MoCA, PS1 and ICA Boston in the United States; Reina Sofía Museum in Spain; Kunstwerke, Germany and other important venues in the UK, Canada, France and other countries, as well as in many major museums in Mexico. He has participated the Mercosul Biennial exhibition in Porto Alegre, Brasil (2011) and the Busan Biennial in Korea (2008). As a writer he has contributed as an art reviewer for several art magazines and has written for the exhibition catalogues of fellow artists like Francis Alÿs, Melanie Smith, Pablo Vargas Lugo, Tercerunquinto and Dr. Lakra, among others. In the early nineties he co-founded the T44 artist run space in Mexico City. In 2011 he directed the 9th International Symposium of Art Theory.He is currently course director at Soma, an artist run school in Mexico City.
