Public Talk by Eduardo Abaroa

Cannonball will present an artist talk by contemporary Mexican artist and r.a.d faculty and Advisory Board member Eduardo Abaroa on October 2nd, at 7pm. A fixture in the Mexico City art scene over the last two decades, Abaroa is primarily known for his sculptures and installations. He has also been an instrumental part of the scene in other ways. He founded the important alternative venue, T44, in the 1990s; he has written a great deal about other artists and Mexican art; he was the director of the 9th International Symposium of Art Theory—a yearly symposium held in Mexico City; and he is currently course director at SOMA, an artist-run alternative school. For his talk at Cannonball, Abaroa will elaborate on some of his projects over the last few years.
